I was down to the last chapter to record in this audiobook when I came down with a cold. Slept all day instead of recording, then woke up at 3:30AM and couldn’t get back to sleep. Alright then, let’s get to work. Only my voice was gone, so another day wasted.

Was finally able to talk well enough to get it done today, so that’s in the can. Now for the rest of it. Converting to proper audio format, packaging and uploading to the distributor.

Note to self: don’t get too attached to your plans.-)

No More Daylight Saving Time

Oh, was that THIS weekend? Got up this morning and found different clocks telling different times. Time change. Well, I hope we stay on standard time from now on. I don’t want to change back to daylight saving again, and I certainly wouldn’t want to stay on it.

Vin Stone Reading Half Done

The recording of Vin Stone — Not a Detective is about halfway to completion. I’m using a new recording system, so it’s been an interesting time of learning as well as production. It sounds different from my previous readings, which shouldn’t be surprising, I guess. It’s different equipment and a different setup. As I get used to it, though, I have to be careful that the chapters don’t sound different from each other. I’m no longer recording in a closet, with all those clothes to damp down the echoes, so I have to find other ways to accomplish that.


Yes, those are egg cartons.-)
