Recording Studio – Waiting

I have finished the first complete draft of my work in progress – The Detective’s Car. Book four in my Vin Stone series. I skimmed through the story yesterday to see what it looks like. That’s possibly my favorite part of writing a novel. I get to see the story from the “outside” for the first time. Good news: it’s a story! Now I’ll spend a couple of weeks reading and re-reading it to take care of any typos or continuity errors. After that will be the recording of it. Luckily, my recording studio should be in position and set up for work by then.

I ordered that “garden studio,” which is apparently what we’re calling sheds that we spend time in instead of using them for storing rakes and stuff, months ago. Unfortunately, when it was delivered there were big holes in the driveway in preparation for erecting the carport, so it couldn’t be moved into position. Since then we’ve had to wait three months for the people to come back out this way with their shed mover. Frustrating. But soon it will be over, and not a moment too soon.

There are about 40 stories up on the Okanagan Reader YouTube channel now. Most of them are only seven or eight minutes long. If you’ve been putting it off, I recommend getting over there now and having a listen.

Cheers and I’ll post more as the editing and studio work progress.
