Today we begin a new story. This reading is part one of The Specialist’s Hat by Kelly Link. It is part of a short story collection called Stranger Things Happen. It’s about thirteen minutes long. Ten-year-old twin sisters living in a haunted house. I don’t see a problem. Do you see a problem?

Recording Studio – Hanging the Blankets

The blankets arrived, along with the grommets and the grommet tool. That’s something I’ve never done before. Who knew it was so easy to install grommets? Once all four blankets are hung up there, the bulk of the insulating will be done. I’ll probably be adding finishing touches for quite a while as I use the place. Sitting in there and looking around, I’m sure I won’t be completely satisfied. As it is now, the acoustics are adequate for recording. I’ll be able to take that baffle out soon and see what it’s like without it. I’m not hearing any echoes or other artifacts in the recordings so far, so I’m encouraged.
