Today’s reading is chapter forty-three of Green Comet, the first book in the Green Comet trilogy.
In chapter forty-three, Elgin wakes up seventy-six years later and everythign is fine. Fran is healthy. To their surprise, they’re famous celebrities. Especially Fran. Learning that Nigel has found and neutralized the Spy sent by the Scout, they can finally start looking forward instead of backward. Fran has some trouble accepting that she is the most important of the Five. And Elgin can’t stop wondering whether he’s missed something about Buzzard.
