Today’s reading is part one of The Snake Girl by John Kessel, part of a collection of short stories called The Baum Plan for Financial Independence. It’s about twelve minutes long. Like other Okanagan Reader stories it is licensed Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike. Ben is in college where he’s trying to keep his grades up so he won’t be drafted when he graduates.
