I have the desk in place. I had to assemble the pedestals for it. That’s a standing desk and those pedestals are marketed as small filing cabinets. I’ll be putting the recording chair to the right, between the desk and that oil-filled heater.
That door will have an insulating blanket that can be closed during recording, and if I find it getting too cold in there in the depths of winter. You can just see the primer that I sprayed on the donnacona boards to try to keep the dust down. The walls will be covered by padded furniture-moving blankets, and more of them will be draped across the ceiling. Any that are left over will be spread on the floor. It should be cozy, but more importantly it should be acoustically insulated. Not only do I want a lack of echoes inside, I want to muffle as many of the external noises as I can. While I was recording a chapter this morning in the house, I had to keep pausing while noisy vehicles went by. Annoying.

Sounds great! Pun intended. Hope you solve the outside noise issue.
I’m looking forward to working in there, thank you.
