Today’s reading is the ultimate chapter in Green Comet, the first book in the Green Comet trilogy.

In chapter forty-seven, Elgin prepares to go down into deep hibernation. He’s nervous and uncertain. He doesn’t know if Fran will be all right. He decides that the only thing he can do is go down and find out. If she needs him, then he should be there.

We’re down to the penultimate chapter in Green Comet, the first book in the Green Comet trilogy.

In Chapter Forty-six, Elgin and Minder are on their way to the get-together, which is being held in a room off the Square. Minder is regretting booking Elgin for the talk show the day before. He also might regret booking the get-together for Elgin and Fran’s old apartment. Will the memories be too painful? Everyone is there. The Five and some others. Elgin senses that there’s something going on, and he’s right. It’s something fantastic.
