Green Comet has had a drop in visitors. I wonder if there are fewer AI agents with the destruction of some data centers.
Elgin and Fran, Stanton and Galatea, Buzzard and Maria, the Doctor and Nigel are the last to leave the Ball. One last look at the place that was their home for centuries.
This reading is chapter sixteen of The Francesians, the third book in the Green Comet trilogy. What was meant to be a quietly emotional departure turns into a confrontation with the gang that comes to plunder the Ball for salvage. Just how much has Green Comet been screwed up in their absence?
