The Makers think the comet people have an ulterior motive for coming to their world. We find out how the Makers got out of the water on a world with almost no land. So why are the females still in the water?

This reading is chapter forty of Parasite Puppeteers, the second book in the Green Comet trilogy. The Makers also chose a single representative. His name was unpronounceable, so they shortened it to “Plub.” Communications between them are confusing, interesting and sometimes funny, although it’s possible that the Makers don’t understand humor. The Makers appear to be strongly hierarchical.
