Today’s reading is part three of Every Angel is Terrifying by John Kessel. It is part of a short story collection called The Baum Plan for Financial Independence. It’s about eleven minutes long. He meets an interesting woman.

I asked ChatGPT what Project 2025 is and it told me this: Project 2025 is a plan spearheaded by conservative think tanks and organizations, aiming to reshape the American political landscape.
It said a lot more but that about covers it. Many people are alarmed by this project and its implications for democracy and the Constitution of the United States. Since the manifesto is so big and hard to read, some people have kindly taken its relevant parts and presented them in comic book form for ease of assimilation. I’m going to present their work here in serial form.
