Accompanied by their companion ball, Elgin, Fran and their friends are contemplating the immensity of space and time. Buzzard is working on Elgin’s idea of their mitochondria functioning as a power supply. Their companion ball has renamed itself “Pharos,” after the lighthouse.

Elgin can’t remember the idea he had during hibernation.

Today’s reading is chapter twenty-one of Parasite Puppeteers, the second book in the Green Comet trilogy. The two balls were near completion for their next mission. They want to see the system that they saved from the Visitor. Green Comet has grown. It’s now two large comets joined by a transparent tube.
