This reading is chapter twenty-eight of Parasite Puppeteers, the second book in the Green Comet trilogy. The Prime is moving and they’ve been brought up to deal with it. They’re feeling less like regular citizens of Green Comet and more like visitors each time they return. They find that their apartment has been turned into a museum. With the increasing alienation, it will be a relief to leave again to pursue the Prime.

They’ve figured out where all the stable orbits are in the system, but one of them doesn’t have a planet.

This reading is chapter twenty-six of Parasite Puppeteers, the second book in the Green Comet trilogy. The empty orbit turned out to have one large planetesimal and a bunch of rubble. The third planet looks the most promising, but there’s something wrong with it. If anyone figured out that this system is a lot like our system, they didn’t say anything about it.
