Welcome to Green Comet

Are you interested in lucid dreaming or ball lightning? How about the feet of geckos or spiders? The aquatic ape? Cave art? Maybe you like clouds. You might have a fascination with out-of-body or near-death experiences, collective nouns or synesthesia. You can find all that and more here. Just use the handy little search bar.

There’s a lot of interesting stuff here, but mostly this website exists as a place for the Green Comet trilogy and my other novels to live. Please sign the guest book.

These free novels, Creative Commons licensed Green Comet, and its sequels Parasite Puppeteers and The Francesians, tell an expansive story of love and adventure on an inhabited comet. To learn more about the trilogy, and for samples, visit the Welcome page. To download the books, visit the Books for Free page. The novels The Plainsrunner, The Prime, Sunward and the Vin Stone series are available through the Books for Sale page. To listen to the Okanagan Reader, visit the Audio page or the YouTube channel.

YouTube – Parasite Puppeteers – Chapter Twenty

Elgin has figured out that he’s smarter in hibernation.

This reading is chapter twenty of Parasite Puppeteers, the second book in the Green Comet trilogy. Fran tells Elgin that they can spend all their time down in hibernation if he wants. Would it be worth it to be a little smarter? Especially if it takes twenty years of real time to experience one minute of hibernation time?

Downloads Update – Green Comet Trilogy

Total downloads, that we have been able to track, of the books in the Green Comet trilogy have reached fifty thousand. The rate is not what it once was, but it’s encouraging that it continues to be of interest. Thank you. Pass it on.

It would be interesting to see what the numbers look like in the “illegal” downloads area. Funny, too. Why would they do that when they’re encouraged to download the books for free from here?

What the heck? Let’s go for a hundred thousand. Why not? Download them all and tell your friends to do the same. Let’s show the world that people love Creative Commons books. Pay it forward.
