How They Get Creative Commons Wrong

Here’s a link to a blog post by someone who gets it right.  It’s on a site called Technollama by a blogger named Andres.  He dissects a blog about Creative Commons and explains the errors in it.  For instance, the original blog makes this statement.

“The basic idea behind Creative Commons is to release one’s work into the public domain, and to do so immediately.”

And Andres answers this way.

“This is a remarkably misinformed paragraph. CC is not an alternative to copyright protection, it is a copyright licence. The basic idea behind Creative Commons is not to release the work into the public domain . . . ”

I found the blog easy to read and the explanations clear.  If you’re curious about Creative Commons, you’ll find it informative.
